Preparation is essential to successful interviewing. The Career Center offers two types of practice interviews to help you prepare for real interviews. We hope that in addition to reading our information on interviewing, you will take advantage of these opportunities to practice.
If you have an upcoming interview for an internship, full-time job, or campus position, we encourage you to take advantage of this service. A volunteer will conduct a 30-minute interview with you and then spend 30 minutes offering you feedback and answering questions. Please call (205) 348-5848 to schedule a person-to-person mock interview.
Our virtual mock interview service allows you to practice interviewing at any hour of the day in any location with internet access and a webcam. If you do not have a webcam, feel free to contact the Career Center at (205) 348-5848 about using a room during office hours. With the mock interview feature in CrimsonCareers, you can choose from a variety of interviews and and record yourself answering each one. You can watch the recording of each answer and practice multiple times.
We encourage you to take advantage of this service to improve your interviewing skills. If you would like an evaluation of your recorded interview, be sure to select the option for requesting feedback. Simply log in to CrimsonCareers and click the Resources tab. You will see “Mock Interviews” and can choose a pre-existing interview or create your own.
