The ACIPCO Engineering Career Development Center (ECDC) is a part of The University of Alabama Career Center, housed in the Division of Student Life. The ECDC provides a one-stop shop for engineering students seeking opportunities for career and professional development. The ECDC comprises the Career Center satellite office for engineering students as well as the Cooperative Education (Co-op) program. The ECDC is located in 2004 H.M. Comer Hall.

Cooperative Education Program (Co-op)

Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a dynamic academic program that offers students opportunities for professional experience before graduation. Co-op students participate in alternating periods of full-time employment and full-time study. Through Co-op, students gain relevant experience, acquire career skills, and earn competitive salaries. Students maintain full-time status and earn priority course registration each semester through graduation.

Professional Practice Internship Program

Professional Practice is a unique academic option for students who will work full-time for a single fall or spring semester. This option allows students to maintain full-time academic status while at work. Students must have prior approval from their academic college to participate.
