Location: Washington, D.C.

Description of duties: Responsible for answering phone calls from constituents and professionally addressing their concerns on policy, legislation, and both local and national issues; corresponding with senior staff members in Scalise’s leadership and personal offices as well as other representatives’ offices; providing tours of the Capitol for constituents and VIP guests; and attending hearings on issues such as education, poverty, and security and taking detailed notes for legislative directors.

The political climate of D.C. is unlike any other, and one learns so much by delving into the hub of the nation’s government.
