‘Like A Pro’ tour Capstone stop is Nov. 20
The “Like A Pro” College Tour will be appearing at The University of Alabama as part of a nine-stop tour of the Southeast, empowering students to be competitive job-seekers by offering the opportunity to interact with executives from sponsor companies P&G and LinkedIn.
Activities including hourly chats, one-on-one executive appointments, professional headshot sessions, and promotional giveaways will be from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, in the Ferguson Student Center Great Hall.
The Like A Pro sessions can help develop one’s personal brand and provide preparation for professional interviews and other endeavors. The tour’s College Network Group offers advice and collaboration among the participating Southeast schools.
One-on-One and Small Group Consultations
Discussions with LinkedIn/P&G executives and alumni will take place by appointment. From tactical profile building and networking advice to securing your first internship/job “bringing your whole self to work,” coaches will be able to cover a range of topics.
Each hour will feature a 15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A with senior LinkedIn/P&G executives. Topics to be covered include “Building the Brand of You,” activating LinkedIn, getting started with networking, and more. Between classes, videos from professionals speaking about “What I Would Tell My Younger Self” will be shown.
Photo and Primp Area
A photographer will be on site to provide free headshots for students for professional use. During photo prep, stylists will be on hand to give tips on meeting with future companies regarding internships and jobs, and a selection of P&G’s Everyday products will be on display.
